2 are still missing after massive sinkholes opened in the town of Villa Nueva

GUATEMALA (KABC) — Two people are now missing, while three others were injured after falling into one of two sinkholes that formed in Villa Nueva, Guatemala, south of the capital Guatemala City on Saturday.

Authorities said two of the injured were in their vehicle and the third was on a motorcycle when they fell inside. They were rescued hours later.

Meanwhile, rescue workers are looking for missing people.

Guatemala’s national disaster management agency is investigating the sinkholes and trying to determine if there are any risks to residents of the zone.
