2 killed after a car slammed into the back of a trailer truck on westbound 210 freeway in Sunland-Tujunga region
SUNLAND-TUJUNGA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Two people were killed when their vehicle crashed into a trailer truck on the westbound 210 freeway in the Sunland-Tujunga area Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The accident closed westbound lanes just before 5 p.m., prompting a response from the California Highway Patrol and LA Fire Department.
According to authorities, two people in the vehicle died after crashing into the rear of the truck. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Footage of the accident showed the front end of the vehicle under the trailer near the La Tuna Canyon Road exit.
CHP later reopened some lanes.
Further details of the collision were not known.
