2022 Critics Choice Awards Documentary Nominees – Full List

The films, which document volcanologists and Mars rovers, lead Critics Choice nominations while Barbara Kopple takes home the Pennebaker Award.

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) has announced the nominees for its seventh annual Critics Choice Documentary Awards (CCDA), with National Geographic’s “Fire of Love” leading the way with seven nominations and Amazon Prime Video’s “Good Night Oppy”. with six follows .

Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Barbara Kopple is also honored with the prestigious Pennebaker Award.

Wyatt Cenac will host the awards ceremony on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at The Edison Ballroom in Manhattan.
