With the FIFA World Cup 2022 looming in Qatar, the 32 sides of the first tournament to be played in the Middle East are gearing up for some of the biggest weeks in their country’s football calendar.
The tournament will be held for the first time in November and December as temperatures can exceed 45 degrees Celsius during a Qatari summer.
Eight stadiums in five cities across the country, the capital Doha, as well as Lusail, Al Khor, Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah will host the games.
