3 dead, 2 injured in Kansas City nightclub shooting

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (WDAF) – A shooting at a nightclub early Sunday morning in Missouri killed three people and wounded two, according to the Kansas City Police Department.
Officers responded to the shooting at the Klymax Lounge nightclub in Kansas City around 1:25 a.m. Sunday. They found five victims at the scene, all of whom are believed to be adults.
According to police, two of the victims died at the scene – one was found in the bar and the other outside the building. A third victim died in hospital. Details of the circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately available, and it was not immediately clear where the victims were when they were shot.
Of the two injured victims, one suffered life-threatening injuries while the other’s condition stabilized on Sunday.
The bar hosted a performance by a local rap artist who goes by the name “Nutty Still Gassin” on Saturday night. He posted live video from the club on his earlier the night before the shooting Facebook site. Two hours before the scheduled opening, nobody answered the phone in the bar on Sunday morning.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators were on the scene early Sunday, gathering evidence and speaking with potential witnesses, police said.
