4 killed in wrong-way crash involving multiple vehicles on southbound 71 Freeway in Chino Hills

CHINO HILLS, Calif. (KABC) — Four people were killed in a collision between several vehicles on the 71 Freeway in Chino Hills on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol traffic log, the accident occurred around 3 a.m. in the southbound lanes near the Chino Hills Parkway. When officers got to the scene, they found at least one car fully engulfed in flames.
At least four cars were involved in the accident. It appears that the victims were in two of them. None of them have been identified.
It is unclear which car drove wrong and whether substances were involved.
The CHP says the freeway between Grand Avenue and the Chino Hills Parkway would be closed for several hours while they investigate.
