50 cents is ready to get dressed for the first time Consumables 4but he is not so satisfied with his advertising poster.
“👀WTF, did we run out of money? Why my head looks like it’s not connected to my body,” the 48-year-old rapper wrote about Instagram on Wednesday 23 August. “I bet they will make @officialslystallone look great. SMH #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”
Consumables 4 released the stars’ character posters for people like earlier this month Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Sylvester Stallone, Megan Fox and 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson). In every frame, the film’s stars posed stoically in their military uniforms, glaring menacingly at the camera.
The consumables – written and directed by Stallone, 77 – premiered in 2010 and is about a team of elite mercenaries hired by the CIA to overthrow a dictator. The action-packed thriller spurned two more sequels in 2012 and 2014. Expend4bles The film premieres next month and will see “a new generation of stars join forces with the best action stars on the planet for an adrenaline-pumping adventure,” according to a synopsis for the flick.
“Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to wield them, the Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team to call when all other options are gone,” the logline reads . “But new team members with new styles and tactics will give a whole new meaning to ‘new blood’.”
Statham (56), Lundren (65), Couture (60) and Stallone will all reprise their roles from the first films – and many new members of the team will join the cast. 50 cents, fox, 37, Andy Garcia, Tony Yeah, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio And Levy Tran are dressed for the first time.
While 50 Cent is best known as a musician, he made his big screen debut in 2005 Get rich or die trying’ Opposite Joy Bryant, Terrance Howard And Viola Davis. The “In Da Club” rapper also played the role of Kanan Stark on the STARZ series Performance franchise on which he is also an executive producer.
“The pacing is very similar so it doesn’t lose the energy and what drew people in Performancebut the difference is in the two worlds that Tariq lives through – between the university and the streets,” 50 Cent said exclusively Us weekly in August 2020 of the spin-off Performance Book II: Spirit. “It’s very similar, but then also very different. The new characters that are blooming are exciting. I think that a huge population of people will be reached through them. I feel like there’s a way for us to increase viewership with Mary [J. Blige] and these new people coming onto the show.”
50 Cent also created some of the series’ most memorable musical moments. “I write material for release, I only release pieces,” he said Us. “The thing is they make sure it’s up to standard, so they’re filling the void. The last place they spend the money in the budget is on the music. I won’t let them put a filler in. I’m wondering, “Who is this?” No one knows who it is, and no one is going to buy this on iTunes right now. So that shouldn’t be on my TV show.’ So I give them extra things to put in those moments.”
The Expendables 4 premieres in theaters on Friday, September 22nd.
