9-year-old critically injured in ATV accident in Pasco County, FHP says
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A 9-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after being involved in an ATV accident on Friday.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the 9-year-old was traveling side-by-side with his father on State Road 52 eastbound.
While attempting to cross SR-52, the boy collided with a Toyota Camry also traveling eastbound on SR-52.
The impact caused the ATV to spin and roll over into the westbound lane.
The driver of the Camry collided with a ditch running parallel to the roadway. The driver and his passenger were uninjured.
The boy sustained serious injuries while the father sustained minor injuries.
