911 Crossover in Lone Star Season 4: EP Preview of Episode 2023

The paths of the 118 and the 126 could cross again very soon, although not in the way you might expect.

In the first three seasons 9-1-1: Lone Star crossed paths with his parent series on two separate occasions, including a large-scale wildfire situation that required several members of Owen’s team to lend a hand to the Los Angeles crew.

It also blessed us with that delightfully awkward mix-up where Buck told TK they should meet at some point, to which TK replied, “Sure. I have to mention, though, that I already have a boyfriend — and it’s pretty serious.”

The shows reunited last year, albeit on a much smaller scale than 9-1-1‘s Athena Grant (Angela Bassett) assisted Lone Star’s Carlos (Rafael Silva) and Grace (Sierra McClain) on a cross-country crime spree. Instead of sharing the screen, Athena communicated with the Austin duo via FaceTime.

So when can we expect more interactions between the two teams?

“We have some niche crossover stuff ahead of us,” says showrunner Tim Minear Lone Star‘s fourth season, which airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox. “If you remember, last year we did this thing with Athena in LA to help Carlos and Grace close a case. I’m not saying we’re going to do this again, but there’s a cross-pollination that you might not have noticed. It’s not the most obvious route into a crossover, but there’s a cross-pollination, let’s continue with that.”

Is it some kind of Cheshire Cat answer? Sure, but that just leaves more to our collective imagination. Which characters from the two shows would you like to see interact for the first time, even if it’s on a smaller scale? Leave a comment below with your thoughts.
