Police arrested a 16-year-old Tennessee teenager for a horrible Crime in which a seven-year-old boy and his grandmother were beaten to death with a hammer.

Police said the bodies of 59-year-old Sherry Cole and her grandson Jessie Allen were found around midnight on April 25. The initial report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department said their bodies were found outside their home with “pools of blood.” near a parked car next to “various tools, some covered in blood”.

Officers at the Chuckey, Tennessee home found the teenage suspect sitting in a car near the scene. There was a passenger in the car and two other people in another car.

Police said the teenager admitted planning the killings the day before, on Sunday.

“[He] admitted hitting the victim in the head with a hammer and had begun planning the killing that same afternoon,” the police said in a statement.

Court documents described the brutal killings as “premeditious and premeditated.”

District Attorney Dan Armstrong called He filed a motion to try the teenager as an adult due to the brutality of the crime.

“If a minor is transferred to an adult court, the only option is the death penalty,” Armstrong said. “The US Supreme Court has ruled that the death penalty is unconstitutional. I would have the option to ask for life without parole. That is still possible to challenge a youngster.”

Neighbors of Cole said in April they were shocked and scared by the incident.

“I know I won’t sleep for a while now knowing it was that close, especially when I find out how close it was,” Rosita King said to WJHL TV.

“They killed that little boy. Oh my God. He was someone I would always see out here with this older woman. I’m shocked,” said Stephanie Edwards, another neighbor.
