A Chicago man was killed in a drive-by shooting in North Hollywood, police say

Police have no motive for the shooting but said it appeared to be nothing to do with a gang.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A Chicago man was killed in a drive-by shooting in North Hollywood late Friday night, police said.
It happened just before midnight at the 6800 block of Simpson Avenue.
Investigators said someone shot a pedestrian on the sidewalk. Officers found the man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
On Saturday, police identified the deceased victim as Julian Bynum, 30, of Chicago.
The shooter started in what police believe is a white SUV. An exact description of the suspect was not immediately available.
Police have no motive for the shooting but said it appeared to be nothing to do with a gang.
