A few showers to start the work week

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – We’ll see a few scattered showers and a rumble of thunder as we start the work week. A blocked front will interact with the daytime heating and humidity and trigger a few scattered showers and storms that will by no means result in a washout, but you may want to keep the umbrella in the back seat. Today’s high temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s.

Scattered showers and storms are still forecast for Tuesday as the stalled front continues to maintain a firm grip on the area. High temperatures on Tuesday will also be in the upper 80s to lower 90s.

We are tracking a cold front mid-week that will bring us more clouds and isolated showers. Due to clouds and showers, temperatures will remain closer to average, if not a few degrees below, with highs in the upper 80s.

Behind the front, more sunshine, less humidity and cooler temperatures for Thursday. Further afternoon showers or thunderstorms are possible on Friday into the weekend.
