A Florida congressman helps deal with an escaped six-foot-tall boa constrictor

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida congressman helped grapple with a slippery fugitive after he was spotted on the side of the road in Seminole County on Wednesday morning.

According to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Leguizamo helped round up the escaped boa constrictor.

The sheriff’s office said the large reptile was found on Old Lake Mary Road.

After defeating the snake, Leguizamo contacted a local exotic animal sanctuary and handed it over for safe keeping.

On Saturday, SCSO shared a photo of Deputy Leguizamo with the snake on her head Facebook site with the caption “Snakes Alive!”
