A pedestrian suffers “life-threatening” injuries in a crash in Clearwater, police say

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — A pedestrian suffered “non-life-threatening” injuries Tuesday night after being struck by a car in Clearwater, police said.
The accident happened around 11 p.m. in the area of Hercules Avenue and Palmetto Street, police said.
According to police, Hercules Avenue was closed while the investigation was ongoing.
The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital.
