A portion of I-85 is blocked in an accident in Meriwether County

MERIWETHER COUNTY, Georgia (WRBL) – An accident in Meriwether County results in a blockage of Interstate 85.

All lanes of southbound I-85 beyond State Route 14 are currently closed, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT).

Travel in this direction should be avoided. The DOT encourages the public to use alternative routes.
