Agatha: Coven of Chaos: Patti LuPone Cast in WandaVision Spinoff

Agatha Harkness’ coven just keeps getting bigger and better: showbiz legend Patti LuPone has joined the cast of Disney+ WandaVision spin off Agatha: Circle of Chaos, our sister site Deadline reports. There’s no word on who’s playing LuPone yet, but Deadline reports that “she may be playing a witch.” (Gosh, we hope so.)

Agatha: Circle of Chaos will see Kathryn Hahn repeat them WandaVision Role as a nosy neighbor turned wicked witch Agatha Harkness. (The role earned Hahn an Emmy nomination last year.) In WandaVisionIn the season finale of , Agatha lost the battle to absorb Wanda’s magic, and Wanda trapped Agatha indefinitely inside her nosy neighbor “Agnes”.

Along with LuPone and Hahn, Agatha: Circle of Chaos‘ Cast included The White Lotus‘Aubrey Plaza, heart stopper‘s Joe Locke and Buffy alum Emma Caulfield Ford, who will be returning to her WandaVision role of Dottie. Circle of Chaos does not yet have a premiere date, but is expected to debut in the winter of 2023-24 as part of the launch of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. (Disney+ is also developing one WandaVision Spinoff focused on Paul Bettany’s vision.)

LuPone is a musical theater legend who has won three Tonys over the course of her illustrious career on Broadway. Her recent TV appearances include American Horror Story, pose, dime novel, girl and Crazy ex girlfriend.
