All Upcoming Marvel Movies and Web Series: Phases 5, 6 and Beyond

Superhero movie fatigue has never been more evident, but Marvel Studios shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. As the Multiverse saga launched, the franchise began to explore its secondary set of superheroes – borrowing heavily from the TV series format to better develop its characters and tie them to the main arc. We’ve seen some huge hits like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which marks James Gunn’s departure from the MCU, as well as some stinkers like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which was heavily panned for its poorly rendered VFX and weak narrative. We’re now in Phase 5 of the franchise, which has seen a ton of changes to its release schedule since Studio President Kevin Feige announced it last year.
Much of this is due to the ongoing Hollywood labor strikes, which have delayed several film and television productions from 2023. Regardless, fans have plenty to look forward to, starting with November 10’s “The Marvels,” which will unite Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), and astronaut Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) on a mission to to unravel the mysteries of the destabilized universe as their powers become intertwined. A month earlier, however, Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as the eponymous god of mischief in season 2 of Loki and promises more time-consuming adventures. Also starring Owen Wilson as Time Variance Authority agent Mobius M. Mobius, Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) and Sophia Di Martino. It is scheduled to premiere on October 6th on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar.
The Multiverse saga also introduces two major Avengers team films — Avengers: The Kang Dynasty out in May 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars in May 2027 — both of which were delayed when Disney updated its release calendar in June. The highly anticipated series Daredevil: Born Again, directed by Charlie Cox, was originally slated for a 2024 release, but production has now been postponed indefinitely due to the aforementioned strikes. Meanwhile, Agatha: Coven of Chaos has received another title change starring Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza – it’s now called Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. The nine-episode series has been pushed back to Fall 2024 for the time being as part of Marvel’s effort to push big titles and make each project feel like an “event” to fans.
