Amanda and Kyle’s “zero involvement” in the summer house wedding
Wedding planning is in full swing. summer house engaged couple Lindsay Hubbard And Carl Radke are in the last few months before saying “yes” this fall. It’s the next step for the couple, who have endured controversy and questioning of their relationship, even from some very close former friends. I’m looking at you Danielle Olivera.
Kyle Cooke And Amanda Batula went through their own wedding planning disputes. So you had comments on the matter.
Lindsay has her “S-T together”
Amanda and Kyle married in September 2021. The hectic months leading up to this were filmed for Summer House season 6. The wedding was broadcast as part of the finale. Carl even acted as her officer.
The couple argued and argued. Both Kyle and Amanada were visibly overwhelmed at times. But the power couple Loverboy doesn’t see the same problems with Amanda and Carl. They gave an interview PEOPLE with the recent launch of their Limoncello Spritz.
“We saw how I struggled to plan a wedding. It wasn’t my thing,” Amanda said. “I think it was almost mean of Lindsay to ask me for help. I’m sure she saw how torturous this was for me.”
Lindsay’s professional background in event planning will certainly serve her well. Amanda admitted the PR guru “has more of himself than I do.”
Basically, Lindsay has everything under control. As such, Kyle and Amanda were not asked to be involved in the planning and were “not involved at all in the wedding other than our presence.”
Kyle added his own thoughts on planning a wedding during the pandemic. Certainly, Lindsay and Carl won’t have the same limitations as they envision their big day.
“Weddings are fun. Wedding planning isn’t fun,” Kyle joked.
No hard feelings
Despite playing such an intimate role at his friend’s ceremony, Carl hasn’t asked Kyle to participate beyond the regular “guest” function. But just like his friend, Carl feels the stress as the date approaches.
“From some of the conversations we’ve had with Carl, he keeps telling us how much more respect he has for us now,” Amanda said. “He says, ‘I give you so much credit. I shed a few tears over this.’ I’m like, ‘I see.’”
“He’s stressful,” the Loverboy CEO said. “I’m like, ‘Wait, aren’t you looking at a turnkey resort?’ [for the wedding]?’ I remember talking to the caterer at the time, “We need to build a kitchen in an Amanda’s backyard?!”
“I told Carl I didn’t expect him to return the offer of office,” Kyle added. “I think, ‘It’s a lot of pressure.’ I feel like I’m being pretty verbose. You need someone who can be concise.”
However, there are no hard feelings between the couples. Kyle is perfectly happy with the way Carl and Lindsay planned their wedding. There’s a different dynamic between Carl and the Cookes compared to Lindsay and the couple.
Amanda opened up about her husband during the interview. “Carl was a very important person in our lives,” she said. “I don’t think you’re such an important person in Lindsay’s life.”
