Amy Robach, TJ Holmes Leave ‘Good Morning America’ After Affair

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes are both constantly on the go GMA3following ABC’s internal review of the co-hosts’ illicit romantic affair.

“After several productive discussions with Amy Robach and TJ Holmes about various options, we all agreed that walking away from ABC News is best for everyone,” the news department said in a statement released Friday on our sister site diversity. “We recognize their talent and dedication over the years and are grateful for their contributions.”

Robach and Holmes were benched indefinitely back in December, when ABC News president Kim Godwin said in a Dec. 12 memo to employees that the GMA3 Co-moderators were taken off the air “pending the completion of an internal review”.

“I understand that the ongoing coverage [of Robach and Holmes’ romantic affair] can distract from the incredibly important work that our team is doing here at ABC News,” Godwin wrote.

end of November, the Daily Mail released photos of Robach and Holmes spending time together in upstate New York. Robach is married Melrose Square Vet Andrew Shue, while Holmes is married to attorney Marilee Fiebig. (Holmes filed for divorce from Fiebig on Dec. 28, according to court filings obtained by United States today; Robach and Shue have reportedly been separated since August, and her own divorce was reportedly finalized in December.)

Robach and Holmes were initially benched GMA3 on December 5, when their alleged affair went public and made headlines. (Gio Benitez and Stephanie Ramos pitched in early, though Godwin’s memo indicated that a “rotation of anchors” would take place GMA3 during the co-hosts’ extended break.)

Reports soon emerged that prior to his relationship with Robach, Holmes reportedly had a three-year affair with him GMA Producer Natasha Singh, and upon review she would be violating ABC’s talent relationship clause as he was her supervisor.

Both Holmes and Robach deactivated their Instagram accounts afterwards Daily Mail Photos were made public, but Holmes appeared to poke fun at the scandal GMA3is broadcast on December 2nd.
