Amy Robach, TJ Holmes on ‘GMA’: No Return During Inquiry

The timeline for Amy Robach and TJ Holmes’ possible returns GMA3 has become a little clearer: The co-hosts will only be returning to their ABC news show after a behind-the-scenes internal investigation into their relationship was completed.

In a Dec. 12 memo to staff (available from E! News), ABC News President Kim Godwin confirmed that Robach and Holmes will be absent GMA3 Co-hosts “pending the completion of an internal review”.

“I understand that the ongoing coverage can distract from the incredibly important work that our team is doing here at ABC News,” Godwin wrote. “I hope we continue to focus our energies on what we do best and I want you all to know how incredibly proud I am of your hard work and professionalism.”

Robach and Holmes were initially seeded off the bench GMA3 on December 5 in the wake of their alleged romantic affair. Gio Benitez and Stephanie Ramos have stepped in, but Godwin’s recent memo suggests a “rotation of anchors” will take place GMA3 during the co-hosts’ extended break.

end of November, the Daily mail released photos of Robach and Holmes spending time together in upstate New York. Robach is married Melrose Square Vet Andrew Shue, while Holmes is married to attorney Marilee Fiebig. Both Holmes and Robach deactivated their Instagram accounts after the photos were released, but Holmes appeared to joke about the scandal GMA3is broadcast on December 2nd.
