Annie Wersching Dead: Abigail Spencer, Jeffrey Pierce Tribute

Stars and TV execs pay tribute after news of Annie Wersching’s death Sunday, aged 45.

Timeless and revolution Executive producer Eric Kripke tweeted the “heartbreaking” news, calling Wersching “friendly, brilliant, full of life… She was my secret weapon,” he said wrote. “I’ve cast her in every show I’ve done, looking for her role in #TheBoys. I will always regret not working with her again. love for her family.”

wrote the actress’ Timeless co-star Abigail Spencer: “We love you #AnnieWersching. You will be deeply missed.”

The beginner Showrunner Alexi Hawley tweeted about her death, including a link to a GoFundMe set up for the actress’ children. “Such sad news,” he wrote. “Annie was there The beginner Family. A special person and a true talent who brought joy to our set and enhanced every scene she acted in.”

Jeffrey Pierce, who appeared in alongside Wersching Bosch and also provided voice work for the video game The last of us, tweeted: “Damn. Stunned to hear of the death of Annie Wersching. The real thing. The OG-Tess. Heartbreaking for those she left behind.”

Neil Druckmann, the co-president of the company that created the last of us Video game, also mourned Wersching. “We just lost a beautiful artist and person,” he said wrote about the actress who played the video game character, Tess. “My heart is broken. Thoughts are with their loved ones.”

Julie Plec, co-creator and showrunner for The Vampire Diaries, tweeted: “So sad to hear that. I became a fan of 24 and was lucky enough to have Annie play mom to two of the hottest vamps in town.” (Wersching played mom to Damon and Stefan Salvatore on the hit CW series.)

Werschings Star Trek: Picard Costar Jeri Ryan wrote on Instagram: “What a beautiful bright light lost today.
I’m so happy I had the chance to work and play with the incredible @anniewersching. My heart breaks for her beautiful family and everyone who was lucky enough to know her…RIP beautiful Annie.”

Lock Creator Andrew Marlowe also expressed his condolences via Twitter. “So heartbroken to hear the devastating news about Annie Wersching,” he said tweeted. “She impressed us all so much Lock, which makes her guest role a tour de force. And such a kind and wonderful presence.”

Wersching is survived by her husband, the actor Stephen Full, and their three sons.
