‘Ant-Man’ fans are feeling stupid after only just discovering the hidden secret of ‘Quantumania’

Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne are just months away from making their third big screen debut Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It’s been a full four years since the last Ant-Man movie came out, and a total of 10 Marvel movies have come and gone in the meantime. Thanos is dead, Black Widow is gone, and Tony Stark has been buried. A lot has changed, meaning there’s a lot going on in Phase 5 to kick-start this next phase of the MCU after an exciting, but not entirely overwhelming, Phase 4. And you know what happens when you get inundated with too much excitement? You start seeing things.

One Marvel fan revealed on Twitter what we’ve been missing all along, which is the fact that Ant-Man’s name was hidden in Quantumania’s title all along.

What does that mean? Is it a clue to Scott Lang’s fate? Ever since the first trailer was released, fans have debated whether or not he will eventually make it out alive, pointing to the trailer’s music to back up their claims.

Marvel fans took turns trying to decipher this mysterious message, while others simply reveled in the overwhelming atmosphere of it all.

While the sneaky inclusion of Ant-Man’s name in the title is cool, at the end of the day most people had a great time toasting this hidden message that isn’t news because, well, it lacks the kind of pizzazz that which usually accompany secretly coded hidden messages.

Truly, no blows were held back in this now public roast.

Can you really blame them for their excitement? Ant-Man fans have been waiting for this film for almost half a decade. Mind you, the previous two films were notoriously underrated as some of the MCU’s best. Both the first and second installments arrived with certified fresh scores Rotten Tomatoes and we must remind you that without the story of Ant-Man, the Avengers would never have been able to go back in time and find the time stones endgame.

We owe a lot to Scott, okay? Well actually Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne but same thing. Let’s not joke about his new film, especially since it goes up against Kang the Conqueror, a villain who, according to the film’s director, can apparently run circles around Thanos. We’ve got your back, Scott.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters on February 17, 2023.
