Ariana Madix doesn’t know if she can trust again after affair with Tom Sandoval
Ariana Madix has had a pretty crappy year, but she’s slowly but surely coming to the other side. Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules exploded in a dumpster fire of deception. Now Ariana has to take care of her 10-year relationship Tom Sandoval end up with extremely high ratings.
Unfortunately, with betrayal comes the realization that your gift of trust has been broken—and trust is difficult to restore. You won’t find a repair kit for it at Home Depot. So you are basically on your own. Ariana spoke along People about her shattered confidence and her hopes of moving on without holding on to the burden Tom left behind.
The comeback is always stronger
Ariana began, “When that first happened, I really thought, ‘I don’t know how I can trust anyone again.'” Which is valid. Despite speculation about how Tom and Ariana’s relationship began, the two were an established couple who built a life together. And Tom was more or less cheating with one of Ariana’s best friends, Rachel Rachel Leviss. At this point, Raquel may or may not be in the witness protection program because she is LOW.
“A friend of mine — about 10, 11 days after I found out — encouraged me not to lose that part of me; Still seeing the good in people, trusting people and being loyal to my friends and relationships. And I was kind of like, ‘Yeah, I don’t know,'” Ariana added.
“But her saying that and hearing that from others as well really helped me move forward. I’ll get there, at my own pace.” A good support system is crucial. Hours after news of the affair broke, the Pump Rules cast put aside pre-existing arguments and rallied around Ariana.
Support is key
Scandoval definitely popularized VPR and put Ariana’s name in people’s mouths. Celebrities commented on the drama, and it was even recorded during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which Ariana attended along with Lisa Vanderpump. Still, she’s blown away by the support.
“I have Ben [sic] absolutely blown away by the prop. There [is] “It’s quite a long and very incredible, mind-blowing list of people who have spoken out about it or have even the slightest knowledge of it,” she added.
It must be really weird when famous people comment on your love life. “And I swear every time my jaw hits the floor and me and my friends in our group chat are like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ That’s crazy!'”
Ariana continued: “These are all sorts of heroes of mine. It’s just really, really wild that they even know I exist on this planet. Experiencing this in public definitely added an aspect that makes it an even crazier experience. But the support from the public has been really amazing and meant so much to me.”
Her experience of the public upheaval in her life hasn’t been pleasant, but she feels “relieved” at the moment. “It’s been a process getting there and I know it didn’t take very long, but it sure feels like it [sic] as if I came out on the other side and the trajectory was up.”
It’s also handy to have a handsome personal trainer to make sure your mind doesn’t wander like Tom’s, well, never mind. “Where I am right now, honestly – I’ve gotten to a point now where I just feel great. And I don’t think I ever thought that was possible,” Ariana said.
