Armie Hammer cannibalism, abuse allegations resurface ahead of documentary

Armie Hammer’s life as a Hollywood star collapsed in early 2021 amid a spate of allegations involving sexual misconduct, possible cannibalism and other improper acts. Talk Wednesday about those allegations, which came back after Discovery+ released its first trailer for an upcoming documentary starring Hammer’s Accusers.

The three-piece House Hammer docuseries promises not only to cover allegations against Hammer by some of the women who have accused him of sexual assault, but the project will also address the alleged history of abuse in his family.

Hammer’s troubles first began in the summer of 2020 when his wife, Elizabeth Chambers, announced on Instagram that they were divorcing after 10 years of marriage. The split seemed amicable at first, but abuse stories first hit the news in January 2021, when a woman with an anonymous Instagram account claimed she was recently involved in a year-long affair with the call me by your name Actor.

The accuser said she communicated with other women who were physically involved with Hammer and wrote that the women told her they were traumatized and that some had required emergency room visits at one point.

She also posted text messages and screenshots that the star allegedly sent to her and other former lovers. Violent descriptions of cannibalism and rape fantasies were found in the lyrics.

In the days that followed, Hammer gave up a film project with Jennifer Lopez. Despite acknowledging that “bulls**t claim” and “vicious and false online attacks” were made against him, he cited his children’s absence from filming as the reason he retired from the film.

The allegations keep coming in January 2021, including from a woman named Courtney Vucekovich, who told Page Six she had dated Hammer for several months in 2020. She said he told her during that time that she wanted to “break her rib and grill and eat.” Vucekovich also said Hammer drank and used drugs “all the time.”

The following day, Page Six reported Hammer had an allegedly secret Instagram account that reportedly contained photos and videos of women in bondage gear. The report also included talks about random drug tests and Hammer allegedly boasting that the hallucinogen DMT didn’t show up in his results.

A post on the supposedly secret Hammer account also claimed a sexual relationship with “Ms. Cayman,” which prompted Hammer to publicly apologize and explain that he wasn’t referring to the pageant world’s Miss Cayman (thereby seemingly confirming that the account was his).

Before the end of January, further allegations were piling up. Paige Lorenze spoke to Page Six about their 2020 relationship, claiming Hammer branded her skin with his initial and sexually assaulted her. She also claimed he sent her a message with photos of her tied up, which she was unaware of.

On February 1, 2021, Chambers broke her silence on the scandals with an Instagram post. She wrote: “I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know. I support every victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced that pain to seek the help they need to heal.”

In March 2021, a woman spoke up in a virtual press conference with allegations that Hammer had violently raped her in 2017. The woman identified herself as Effie, which was the name used on the Instagram account where the initial allegations were posted. (The woman’s attorney, famed women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred, neither confirmed nor denied that her client was behind the account.)

After Effie’s public statement, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed this diversity It launched an investigation into Hammer in February for alleged sexual assault.

Also in March vAnity fair published a lengthy article about Hammer’s family, which included claims that his grandfather had killed a man. The magazine later wrote in May that sources said the actor checked into a Florida treatment facility to seek help with drug and sex issues.

Other bizarre rumors have also surfaced about Hammer, albeit not of the criminal variety. That summer, people on social media began claiming he was working as a concierge at a resort in the Cayman Islands due to personal financial losses. (The resort denies that Hammer is an employee.)

More recently, in July, Page Six reported that Hammer was spotted with Chambers and his children in Los Angeles. The site also wrote that Hammer allegedly stayed with Robert Downey Jr. to get his life back on track.

news week attempted to contact Hammer through his attorney.
