Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross’ relationship timeline
Love rules the world! Ashlee Simpson And EvanRoss wasting no time and started their life together after their relationship turned romantic in 2013.
“Evan and Ashlee have been friends for a very long time, probably 10 years,” a source said Us weekly in July 2013 after they were spotted together. “They have a long bond. They already know each other very well.”
Less than a month later, the two confirmed their relationship. They were engaged in January 2014 and tied the knot in August. Simpson gave birth to daughter Jagger in 2015.
“I’ve been wrong for most of my life,” Ross said entertainment tonight after the birth of their little girl. “The greatest thing in this world is love. I’m so in love. I love my daughter, I love my wife. She gave me the best gift in the world. I am very happy.”
Simpson was previously married to Pete Wentz. The ex-partners filed for divorce in 2011 after less than three years of marriage and have a son together, Bronx. The couple and the Fall Out Boy rocker have been candid over the years about the importance of maintaining healthy co-parenting.
“I think it’s important to listen and give people balance,” Wentz said Us in October 2019, noting that Simpson is an “amazing mom.”
Ross is also friends with Simpson’s ex Ryan Cabrerawho revealed that the hunger games The actor got permission before asking Ashlee Simpson Show alum out.

All is well?’ He knew I’d be like, ‘Oh!’ Alright, cool,'” Cabrera revealed in July 2019. “She ended up marrying one of my best friends. How did this all happen? Who knows. …LA and all of us as artists, singers, actors and entertainers are essentially a very small family. Obviously, for the most part, everyone knows everyone. And me and Ashlee have always been very, very close. Our breakup went pretty… pretty, pretty smoothly — except for a few things. But we remained friends for about a short time after we broke up and have been friends from that point on. And we were always cool.”
Before announcing that they were expecting baby #2 in April 2020, Simpson and Ross were open about their desire to expand their family.
“Even in the time that we’re working, we look for times when we can make sure we can get away and take family trips,” he said Us in February 2019. “We take [the kids] with us. I feel like I grew up like this. My mum, [Diana Ross], always took me everywhere. … We would do the whole thing, so I think why not?”
The couple gave birth to son Ziggy in October 2020.
