Attorney General Merrick Garland is scheduled to issue a statement Thursday afternoon, three days after FBI agents raided former President Donald Trump’s Florida residence.

The Justice Department, which Garland heads, has come under pressure since that raid to make a public statement about the search of the Trump home at his Mar-a-Lago club.

The FBI seized about a dozen boxes from the residence on Monday, according to Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb.

She had said agents left a copy of the search warrant showing they were investigating possible violations of the law related to the Presidential Records Act and handling of classified materials.
