Auburn: Tichenor Avenue will be closed for a May 18 event downtown
AUBURN, Alabama (WRBL) – On Friday, the City of Auburn announced that Tichenor Avenue would be closed for the Downtown Merchants Association’s Downtown Auburn Family Supper.
According to the city, Tichenor Avenue between College and Gay Street will remain closed until 10 p.m. on May 18.
Beginning at 1:00 PM, Tichenor Avenue will be closed between the loading dock entrance behind The Hound and the Auburn City Hall parking lot exit. The remainder of Tichenor Avenue is scheduled to open to all traffic at 5:00 p.m
The city is advising that motorists parking in the Gay Street lot and municipal parking deck will not be able to exit on Tichenor Avenue during the closure and is advising motorists to use the Gay Street entrances and exits.
