Authorities report fire in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Williamson County authorities reported a fire in Liberty Hill Saturday afternoon.
The 100-acre fire is located on Tower Road near Lake Georgetown. That’s northeast of State Highway 29 and Highway 183. The Georgetown Fire Department later confirmed that the Fire had spread to an area beyond the lake.
Residents within a 2km radius of the fire were asked to leave the home.
The Georgetown Fire Department and the Fire Department Liberty Hill responds along with Travis County STAR Flight. Additional resources have been requested.
The cause of the fire, any damage, and the containment status are unknown at this time.

The Liberty Hill Fire Department is working on a 100-acre wildfire on Tower Road in Liberty Hill. Travis County STAR Flight is on its way. Everyone within a 2 mile radius will be evacuated.
