Axios argues against the critics of “open borders” and is met with ridicule and ridicule online

News agency Axios tried to argue against people criticizing the Biden administration for its “open borders” policy and faced a massive backlash of ridicule and ridicule online.

“By using the term ‘open border,’ conservatives suggest that anyone can enter the United States without major problems. In reality, the southern border is more fortified than ever before,” said a social media post from Axios.

The article argued that the number of border guards has quadrupled since 1992 from 5,000 to over 20,000. It also states that there have been more deportations under President Joe Biden than ever before, but makes no mention at all of the historically high number of migrants entering the United States

Critics slammed Axios on social media for trying to downplay the refugee crisis.

“The left-wing Axios is now running explicit Biden propaganda” tweeted Talk show host Erick Erickson.

“That is so bad. You can tell whoever wrote this didn’t spend much time at the border or bothered to talk to the officials tasked with policing it. Ask the over 1.6 million known escape attempts how difficult it was to get to the border.” / Parts of the border are not monitored while agents work,” replied Bill Melugin, a Fox News reporter.

“This isn’t just media spin. It’s a complete lie. Illegal aliens are crossing the border at an unprecedented rate. Cartels smuggle drugs and people every day – many of these drugs end up in the SD. Joe Biden is not enforcing the law. He leaves the border wide open, replied South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (r.).

“Amazing that you are trying to put pressure on people who can actually see people crossing the border with impunity and unhindered. They are just the propaganda arm of the DNC.” read another critical tweet.

The refugee crisis has worsened to the point where Democrats are fighting each other. In New York, the Democratic governor is engaged in a public dispute with the Democratic mayor of New York City over what should happen to migrants who were bused into the city from border states.
