Bachelor in Paradise star Sean McLaughlin reveals whether he thinks Rachel Recchia and Brayden Bowers will survive off the beach

From October 26th, Sean McLaughlin’s journey continues Bachelor in paradise has officially come to an end and left the beach the same as when he arrived.

Sean’s experience on the hit show was unhappy (to say the least) as he was repeatedly rejected by his fellow Taylor Swift enthusiast Jess Girod and had an argument with her just before the rose ceremony The Bachelorette Lead actress Rachel Recchia and the breakup of his friendship with his best friend Brayden Bowers, who has become an enemy.

He even left with hemorrhoids – poor guy!

To summarize his journey: When the Ken doll doppelganger arrived on the beach, he had only one woman in his sights: Jess. Despite firing his shot several times, she instead quickly hit it off with Blake Moynes and forced him to pursue some of the other women on the beach. During this exploratory period, Sean hit it off with Rachel, which ultimately led to her giving him a rose at the first rose ceremony of the season – how sweet is that?

After realizing that the two would continue their connection on the beach, Sean blew it. Bad.

The 26-year-old tried (again) to start a relationship with Jess but was rejected (again).

During his less than ideal conversation with Jess, Brayden took it upon himself to flirt with Rachel, letting her know that Sean only had eyes for Jess and was never really interested in her. Of course, the flight instructor wasn’t happy (to say the least), which led to an argument between Sean and Rachel, followed by an argument between Sean and Brayden.

Given that Rachel only had one more left after that scuffle and Brayden had been single for days (since Kat Izzo dumped him to pursue Tanner Courtad), some flirting began between Rachel and Brayden towards the end of Episode 4 . To top it all off, thanks to longtime Bachelor in paradise Bartender, Wells Adams’ Truth Box, the duo even locked lips just before the credits rolled.

In episode 5, the two took it a step further: Rachel received a date card and invited Brayden on a one-on-one outing outside the villa. A day full of laughter, smiles and lots of smooching, Bachelor in paradise Viewers took to social media to share that this unlikely duo may be Paradise’s new “it” couple.

While fans of Bachelor Nation everyone’s fixated on Rachel and Brayden, Sean shared Entertainment tonight his true thoughts about the couples that formed on the beach and he didn’t have the most positive things to say about the relationship that formed between his ex-lover and his ex-boyfriend.

“If you talk about the couples that I think are the strongest, I think Kylee and Aven are in a really good position. They seem, you know, pretty good… Honestly, I think the relationship was only strengthened by Eliza dating John B. and then choosing Aaron. I think they’re in a really good spot too,” he enthused.

The New York native continued, “I would say, I think everyone else is probably not finished,” but what about Rachel and Brayden?

While none of the couples were considered “endgame” aside from Kylee Russell and Aven Jones and Eliza Isichei and Aaron Bryant, Sean went out of his way to comment on the blossoming connection between Rachel Recchia and Brayden Bowers.

He said, “If they end up, it’ll be a hell of a pairing, but I think Brayden will just have fun.” I think Rachel always kind of has fun. It’s nice to see that side of her.”

Is Sean still hurt that Brayden threw him under the bus and cut ties with Rachel?

In the same interview, Sean dispelled the rumors about it Really happened that fateful night.

He explained: “I’ve never given the impression that Rachel was more into me, so it was a little frustrating to hear Brayden say what Rachel said about it.” The whole thing was pretty confusing because I didn’t know that Rachel was upset at me because of what Brayden had told her. I thought she was mad at me for talking to Jess.”

“Brayden just said I said it, which was never the case,” he introduced, before recounting how hurt he was by his pal.

“I just felt betrayed by Brayden, that was really difficult. But it was more like, once you’re in, you don’t want to leave, especially if you end up single before the end. It just wasn’t what I wanted to do, so I was depressed,” he continued passionately. “It was disappointing that it ended like that with Rachel…it was just a very disappointing and kind of shitty night.”

Nevertheless, the 26-year-old does not regret his decision Bachelor in paradise trip and looked back fondly on the experience (as well as the friendships he built).

He shared: “I look back on both of my experiences The Bachelorette And Bachelor in paradise with great, positive thoughts. I always never understood it when contestants came out of the show and vilified them a bit because I really had the best relationship with the guys from the charity relay. I’m friends with everyone from Paradise. I met some of the coolest people and had some of the coolest experiences. I would definitely be willing to do it again if I was single and the time came. “You never know what the future will bring” – we are simply happy about such a statement!

While Sean is missing from the beach, you can watch the brand new episodes of Bachelor in paradise every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT on ABC (with new episodes available to stream the next day on Hulu) to see how the rest of the season unfolds.
