Fans of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” are collectively known as “Bachelor Nation,” and the population numbers in the millions.
They’re used to every development being “the most dramatic of all time,” but Tuesday’s “Bachelorette” finale could be just the ticket, as it marks the first time two women have both been looking for engagement.
Gabby Windey and Rachel Reccia were both unlucky in love and dumped on national television by “Bachelor” Clayton Echard, so things had to get better for them during their time in the spotlight, right?
Well, yes and no. They must be the shared stars of The Bachelorette, but their season ends with all the drama we’ve come to expect.
Getting engaged at the end of the journey sounds easy enough, but like most things, it’s not always that way.
We still don’t know if they both found lasting love, but after that Part one of the finaleit sure didn’t look too likely.
At least these two managed to remain friends despite dating some of the same men over the course of the show.
The couple spoke ahead of the show’s premiere, but after filming wrapped, gave no hint of the drama to come. But the show’s host, former NFL quarterback and former Bachelor himself Jesse Palmer, hinted as he said they both handled a difficult situation with class.
“I think Rachel and Gabby deserve a lot of credit,” he said. “And somehow, magically, it just worked.”
The definition of “works” may vary, but if it means “dramatic,” then sure.
There is no drama about who each candidate chooses, however, as both have only one suitor left. However, it remains unclear if these final roses were given and accepted, and if either relationship is still ongoing.
Rachel’s last man standing is Tino, whose father caused a Twitter storm online after he bestowed third degrees on Rachel while on a date in his hometown.
Gabby’s husband Erich has had to face allegations from an ex-girlfriend who claimed he left her before going on the show.
Big questions remain for Bachelor Nation, even if one of the men is willing to propose. And if there are engagements, how long will they be or how long will they last?
You’ll get the answers Tuesday night when the finale airs at 8pm on this ABC network.
