Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 3 has been delayed until tomorrow, but you can change your appearance

Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the biggest games of the year, but it launched with a ton of bugs. Luckily, developer Larian Studios has released two major patches for the game, and although the third was scheduled to release today, it has been postponed until tomorrow. In a post on XOn the website formerly known as Twitter, developers announced that the patch would be delayed “to ensure thorough testing.” This is probably done to avoid the problem they encountered when they had to roll back a hotfix last month.
While we know the patch has been delayed, we haven’t had much of an idea of what this patch entails. While specific bug fixes are still unknown, Larian tweeted about a new feature expected tomorrow: the ability to change your character’s appearance. This includes details like pronouns, voice actors, and certain facial features, but notably, you won’t be able to change your race, which could change the story depending on your choice.
With Patch 3 comes the Magic Mirror, which lives in your camp and allows you to change the appearance of your Tav whenever you want!

Even though the patch plans failed, Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on the Mac today. So if you have been planning to purchase it on this platform, now is the opportunity to do so. We’d highly recommend it, and you can read why in our glowing review of the game. If you’ve played the game and enjoyed it, maybe that’s a sign that you should also give D&D, the game it’s based on, a try.
