Baltimore police said they were responding to the scene of an active shooter.
“BPD is on the scene of an active shooter situation in the 1700 block of Argonne Drive,” police said on Twitter. “We ask everyone to shelter in place and avoid the area.”
Argonne Drive borders Morgan State University.
Baltimore police were assisted by agents from the Baltimore Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Division.
“ATF special agents are responding to assist our @BaltimorePolice partners at the scene of an active shooter situation, 1700 block of Argonne Drive. Please avoid the area. People nearby should seek shelter,” the ATF wrote on X.
Morgan State University asked students to “shelter in place” via a post on X.
“Please note: There is currently an active investigation related to a report of shots fired on or near campus. Please stay away from the area around Thurgood Marshall Hall and the Murphy Fine Arts Center and provide shelter,” her tweet read.
