Bandai Namco Announces One Piece Day Live Stream Show

Bandai Namco recently announced it would be hosting a livestream event next month to celebrate One Piece Day. Eiichiro Oda launched One Piece in 1997 and in July 2022 the incredible manga series will celebrate its 25th anniversary. As such, Bandai Namco has partnered with Shueisha Inc. and Toei Animation for a global live stream event that will run for two days from July 22-23.

According to the official announcement, Day 1 of the live stream will include part of the world premiere of One Piece Film: Red. The highly-anticipated One Piece film is slated for a August 6 release in Japan, and at the world premiere, several guests of honor will commemorate the film’s premiere. Mayumi Tanaka (Monkey D. Luffy), Kazuya Nakai (Roronoa Zoro), Akemi Okamura (Nami), Kappei Yamaguchi (Usop) and other cast members will be part of the world premiere. This allows One Piece fans who cannot physically attend the event to experience the excitement of the film from the comfort of their own home.

Day 2 of the live stream will talk about One Piece music, games, manga, anime, merchandise and more. The event promises “brand new and exciting information” about the franchise, so that every One Piece fan should look forward to the day. Anyone around the world can stream the two-day One Piece Day event on YouTube. Conveniently, the event will be streamed in both Japanese and English, and here’s the exact schedule:

Day 1 (July 22): Broadcast date and time: 7/22/2022 (Fri) 1:50 p.m. (PDT) | 08:50 (UTC)

Day 2 (July 23): Broadcast date and time: 7/22/2022 (Fri) 6:00 p.m. (PDT) | 1:00 a.m. (UTC)
