Better rain chances today and tomorrow

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Onshore winds keep it muggy throughout the day. With a breeze blowing off the Gulf of Mexico, highs tend to stay in the upper 80s.

There will be more rain this afternoon and storms will spread to the east coast in the evening. The chance of rain today is 40%.

The chance of rain on Friday is also 40%, but the breeze from the Gulf will start to weaken in the afternoon. This allows some storms in our area to last until sunset.

The weekend will feel a little like summer with highs of around 90 degrees and some storms forming in the afternoon and early evening.

With the transition to the rainy season we have a slightly better chance of showers next week and highs remain in the upper 80’s.
