Biden condemns Trump’s inability to build anything

President Joe Biden has criticized former President Donald Trump for not building “anything” during his presidency.
Biden’s handling of the economy is A concern that many voters have as they ponder who to pick on next year’s ballot. In a Labor Day speech Monday at Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 19 in his home state of Pennsylvania, Biden attempted to address those concerns, comparing his presidency to Trump’s and repeatedly calling him the “last man.”
“Guess what? The big real estate entrepreneur, the last one, he didn’t build anything at all. Under my predecessor, infrastructure week became the punchline. Under my oversight, infrastructure is a decade ago and it’s a headline.”
(In November 2021, Biden signed a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure deal that will fund projects for years to come.)
Without mentioning Trump by name, Biden has previously criticized him Predecessors because no infrastructure was built.
“How many times in the last four years have we heard, ‘This is infrastructure week’?” Biden said in April 2021, “About every other week is ‘infrastructure week,’ but no infrastructure was built.”

In his speech on Monday, Biden continued to target Trump.
“The man who held this post before me was just one of two presidents in history … who left office with fewer jobs in America than when he was elected,” Biden said. “By the way, do you know who the other one was? Herbert Hoover. Isn’t that coincidental?”
Biden went on to say that the country’s economy is “stronger” than other countries.
“All I hear from my friends on the other side is what they say America is wrong,” Biden said. “They keep telling us that America is failing. You are wrong. I have news for you: America has the strongest economy in the world right now and today.”
