Body found in burning van on Mulholland Drive in Topanga Canyon

TOPANGA, Calif. (KABC)– An investigation is underway after authorities found a body inside a burning van in Topanga Canyon.

City of Los Angeles firefighters responded to Mulholland Drive at approximately 7:30 a.m. where they found a pickup truck on fire.

They quickly doused the flames but soon discovered a burned corpse inside. According to homicide investigators, the victim is a 37-year-old man who was apparently shot.

Arson and homicide detectives search the scene for evidence.
