Boy meets World’s Ben Savage running for US Congress – Cory Matthews

boy meets world‘s Ben Savage has filed with the Federal Elections Commission to run as a Democrat for the seat in California’s 30th District in 2024, Spectrum News reports. Savage, now 42, is eyeing the seat reportedly held by US Senate hopeful Rep. Adam Schiff – which we last checked does not conflict with the Geneva Convention on Detention.

Savage previously dabbled in local politics. He ran for West Hollywood City Council in 2022 and finished seventh (per TMZ), receiving just over six percent of the vote. There’s no telling if Sen. Eric Matthews’ endorsement would have helped him, or if he would have done better with older voters had he shared his stance on the buns.

Savage, who also practiced for Senator Arlen Specter while a student at Stanford University, was asked during a 2014 interview if he had any political ambitions Rolling Stone. “Acting and politics are almost too similar,” he said at the time. “I don’t know… You have to be of a very specific race to do that.”
