Brooke Shields was rushed to hospital after suffering a seizure in a New York restaurant – and Bradley Cooper steps in to help her

BROOKE Shields has revealed she was rushed to intensive care after suffering a seizure in September.
The Blue Lagoon actress said she collapsed “headfirst into the wall” just days before the debut of her one-woman show at Cafe Carlyle.
Brooke, 58, opened up in Glamour’s US Women of the Year editionin which she explains how she suffered a seizure outside L’Artusi restaurant in New York City.
“I was waiting for an Uber. I get to the bottom of the stairs and obviously look strange [the people I was with] said, “Are you okay?” she said.
Brooke attributed the seizure, which left her foaming at the mouth and turning “completely blue,” to drinking too much water before the show and having too little sodium in her body.
She explained: “I go to the L’Artusi restaurant and go to the sommelier, who just took an hour to look at my run-through. I go in, two women come towards me; I don’t know her.” Everything starts to go black.
“Then my hands fall to the side and I hit the wall head first. I’m having a grand mal seizure.”
Brooke said fellow actor Bradley Cooper, 48, was by her side.
A waiter at the restaurant called Bradley after they failed to get in touch with Brooke’s husband, Chris Henchy.
An assistant knew the Hollywood actor was nearby, and without hesitation Bradley made his way to the restaurant.
The two have been close friends for over a decade.
“The next thing I remember is being loaded into an ambulance. I have oxygen on. And Bradley fucking Cooper is sitting next to me and holding my hand,” Brooke remembers.
In the intensive care unit, Brooke received a catheter and an IV.
Although she later developed bronchitis, the model made a full recovery and was able to present her one-woman show titled “Prevly Owned” on September 12.
The NYC show ran successfully until September 23rd.
Brooke also joins author Quinta Brunson, singer Mary J. Blige, model Geena Rocero and actress Selma Blair on the digital covers of Glamor Women Of The Year.
