Buccaneers quarterback John Wolford was carted off the field

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback John Wolford suffered a neck injury after being released in the third quarter of the preseason game against the New York Jets.
Wolford was carted off the field immediately after the goal. As soon as the play was called out, the 27-year-old quarterback was down.
Apparently, Wolford was injured on the first hit before falling to the ground.
His teammates surrounded him as he was carried off the field on a stretcher. WFLA esports reporter Dan Lucas said Wolford is still being checked out in the locker room for an apparent neck injury.
Scott Smith, senior writer for the Buccaneers, reported that Wolford has movement in his extremities. He is taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.
The Bucs currently lead the Jets 13-6 with just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter. Live updates on the game can be found here.
