Building fire in Elgin causes road closure

Motorists and residents are being asked to avoid the area until the fire is out.

ELGIN, Texas — A building fire in Elgin Saturday afternoon has caused a road closure.

At 12:40 p.m. on December 24, the Travis County 12 Emergency Services District and Travis County Fire Rescue were called to the scene of a building fire at the 22000 block of Ann Showers Drive.

On site, firefighters blocked the road for emergency services to put out the fire. The Pflugerville Fire Department was also called to the scene to help.

No information has been released about residents or anyone inside the structure. Motorists and residents are being asked to avoid the area until the fire is out.
