You can level up every primary and secondary weapon in Modern Warfare 3 to unlock customization attachments. Additionally, you can upgrade any 2022 Modern Warfare 2 weapons that you haven’t completed yet. All MW2 weapons will be transferred to Modern Warfare 3 as part of Call of Duty’s new Carry Forward program, which will carry most items from Modern Warfare 2 over to Modern Warfare 3, but you can read the full Carry Forward details here, to find out everything that is included.

Preseason challenges

There are six different types of challenges to complete in Modern Warfare 3’s preseason:

  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Armory
  • weapons
  • operator
  • Call cards

Weapon challenges include the typical Call of Duty stealth challenges for the entire MW3 weapon pool.

Multiplayer and Zombies content

As previously announced, Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer mode will launch with a variety of playlists for standard 6v6, large-scale ground warfare, and warfare modes. Standard multiplayer will be available with all 16 remastered maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, but select maps from 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 will be available shortly after launch.

On the zombie side, you can fight against the mysterious Terminus Outcomes PMC as part of Modern Warfare 3’s Operation Deadbolt narrative. The mode launches with dozens of missions and hordes of zombies on Warzone’s new Urzikstan map. More information about Urzikstan can be found here, including a full map overview.

Continue completing the MW2 battle pass

Playing Modern Warfare 3 counts towards completing the Modern Warfare 2 Season 6 Battle Pass, allowing you to complete any tiers you haven’t yet unlocked. All content in this pass carries over and can be used in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.

A specific date for the start of the first season has not yet been announced, but sometime in early December the first full season will go live with the integration of the new Urzikstan map for Warzone. Here’s everything we know about all the changes coming to Warzone so far, including perks, new Gulag mechanics, and additional maps.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 officially launches on November 10th, but you can play the campaign as early as November 2nd if you pre-ordered a digital copy. You can unlock bonus rewards by playing the campaign in Early Access, and here’s everything you can earn.
