CapMetro will suspend service November 19-27

AUSTIN, Texas – The Capital Subway (CapMetro) Rail traffic will be suspended for a week due to construction work along the entire railway line.
The entire rail line that CapMetro uses throughout the Austin area will be closed November 19-27 for necessary construction work on the railway line. This means passengers will have to use alternative services, including shuttles, to get around the city.
There will be shuttle service to Leander, Lakeline and Howard Stations before going to Downtown Station. There are alternative services from the train stations that can take passengers downtown, but not to the Downtown Station.
Shuttles are not available on Sundays and November 24-25 for Thanksgiving holiday services. MetroRail, UT Service, Night Owl, MetroExpress or Thanksgiving Day pickup services will not be offered on November 24th. Alternatively, there is the night owl and the pick-up service on November 25th.
