NBC’s One Chicago shows are back and this Chicago P.D The season 10 premiere is in full swing. The premiere saw the aftermath of Anna Avalos’ death, and Hank Voight feels a mixture of guilt and sadness over what happened. At the end of the episode he is also struggling with an injury. Will Hank Voight Die? Here are our predictions.
[Spoiler alert: Chicago P.D. Season 10 Episode 1 spoilers ahead regarding Hank Voight.]
In the season 10 premiere of Chicago PD, Hank Voight mourns the loss of Anna Avalos
That Chicago P.D The season 10 premiere begins with Hank Voight remembering Anna Avalos. Anna was an Intelligence Unit informant, and after she pulled a gun and shot Voight, Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead shot her. She died and Voight felt guilty for everything he had done to her.
The premiere sees Voight heading out as the Intelligence Unit was accepting awards for snatching 900 pounds of narcotics and 40 gang members off the streets. Voight tries to find out who is selling the new product on the street that is killing a little boy. He discovers that it is a man named Enzo who is selling, and the rest of the Intelligence unit steps in to help. Newcomer Dante Torres acts as a potential buyer for Enzo’s product.
Unfortunately, Hailey Upton’s nervousness nearly costs Torres and Voight their lives. Upton realizes the situation too soon, leading Enzo to learn it’s all a trap. Enzo then goes to shoot Voight, but Voight shoots him first. Voight and Upton then have a serious conversation about Anna’s death.
Will Hank Voight Die? He ends the episode bleeding
At the end of Chicago P.D Season 10 premiere, Hank Voight talks to Chief Patrick O’Neal. O’Neal comes to speak to Voight since Voight was not present at the ceremony and they bring up the death of Anna Avalos. “You have to let that go now,” O’Neal tells Voight. “I gave you two weeks, I can’t give you more.”
At the end of the conversation, O’Neal leaves and Voight sits in his chair. As Voight sits down, he tucks his hand into his shirt and winces. When he pulls his hand out, blood is on his fingers.
Will Hank Voight die from his injuries? It’s likely he sustained her when he defeated Enzo, and it’s clear no one else knows about the bleeding. With that in mind, we doubt Voight is going anywhere else. Showrunner Gwen Sigan told TVLine that fans will see Voight enter “interesting places” this season that extend beyond the first episode.
“He decided last season to open up in a way that I don’t think we’ve seen from him since Olinsky [who died in Season 5]’ she shared. “He’s been shut down and then to see it fall apart in that way he’s definitely in a rough state and he’s going to have to deal with it emotionally for some time. In true Voight fashion, we’ll see how he goes to interesting places and how he handles it.”
Jay Halstead actor Jesse Lee Soffer is leaving the 10th season of “Chicago PD”.
However, we expect more of Hank Voight to come forward Chicago P.D In season 10, fans have to say goodbye to Jay Halstead. Gwen Sigan also spoke more about Halstead’s departure – and it doesn’t sound like he’s leaving suddenly.
“Hopefully it all makes sense when everyone watches the episode that they’re leaving and we built on that and we had a chance to do that,” Sigan told TVLine. “We tried to keep it grounded [as possible] and do justice to Jesse [Lee Soffer] and how great he is. He shows a very good performance. It will be really impressive.”
