Chris Evans shares emotional truth about his future in films

It’s hard to imagine a world without it Chris Evansand the only reason we can say that is because many years ago he took the risk and entered a profession that seemed to be at odds with all the comforts he had ever known.

Evans became an actor despite having fears that could be debilitating and a heart that seemed to long for peace and quiet, and it was a reflection of the other part of his soul – one with boyish charm, excitement and enough health to to make it his own name, which stands for Captain America. Chris Evans is as much Captain America as Steve Rogers himself, and while the role has given him the experience of a lifetime, he’s ready to take the acting reins for a while.

Speak with GQEvans thought hard about how to express his feelings because he didn’t want to appear ungrateful or blasé about his career. He simply has visions and ideas that are a little different today:

“I don’t want to – I have to word this correctly. I was going to say I don’t want to waste too much time in this industry, but that doesn’t feel real. …That doesn’t sound right. I don’t want to take up too much space in an industry that I’ve already invested 20 years in. Sometimes I wonder if I’m missing something – I think I’m a very ambitious person. I have a lot of energy. I get up early, get a lot done in a day, but the focus isn’t always on acting. Sometimes reading a script is the last thing I want to do.”

The best thing about being human is that we are here for this brief moment, so perhaps that is the most bittersweet thing about existence. However, what we do with this time is what makes it so magical; we can do anything. We can try painting and drawing and take guitar lessons the next day. We can run, swim, jog or sit on the sofa with a glass of wine and watch the leaves fall – the choice is ours.

Evans doesn’t want to miss fall

Evans shares that these days he thinks about what goes into a project and, more importantly, what it means to potentially give up. There are a few things he doesn’t want to miss out on, and rightly so:

“Now it’s really about: What time of year do we shoot? Will I miss fall? You know, I don’t want to miss fall. I only have a limited number of them.”

If that didn’t resonate with you, we don’t know what will. Evans only gets so many falls. He wants to experience it, watch the leaves fall, play catch with his dog and share the most beautiful season with those he loves most. If we had to guess, we’d say he also loves an occasional PSL; Evans is the king of our fall-loving hearts and goodness – doesn’t he look adorable in a sweater?

Evans wants to try his hand at other things, as he explains: “I could just make furniture for no one and be happy. He hasn’t worked a day this year, that’s true – Evans hasn’t set foot on a film made in 2023, and it was refreshing; In fact, it was what he needed after working on three projects last year and moving around for several months to a year to ensure his projects were completed beforehand.

He hasn’t had time to enjoy the little things in a long time, and he has no regrets about the path he’s taken in life, but Evans is evolving, and we think that might be the most heartwarming and fascinating thing about him.

He wants to enjoy life like Dodger

Evans once again reveals his vulnerability by confirming that while fans around the world view him as a movie star, he never saw himself as one. If he had to actually think about who he is as a man – and Evans does a lot – he would prefer to be in a world of existence similar to that of his sweet dog, Dodger.

“Whatever he doesn’t think about is yesterday. What he doesn’t worry about is tomorrow. He actively engages in the moment in this really, really clear way. And this all feels a little trite, but he’s a little teacher, isn’t he? He’s like a little example of what we should do. And he’s just so honest, so pure, so good. He has no idea I’m famous. He has no idea. And he can’t know what’s going on, it’s like an airtight thing. I mean, he is famous and he will never know it. He can’t do it, it’s like an impenetrable character trait. He cannot be corrupted.”

May we all be a little more like Dodger and Evans in our daily lives: honest, pure and good.
