Chris Hemsworth’s dream vision for the final Thor movie could have been found in epic fan art

You can’t deny that Thor: Love and Thunder tipped the scales in favor of MCU fans, who had called Phase Four a far cry from the excellence showcased by the likes Avengers: Endgame. The general sentiment officially took off recently after Chris Hemsworth accused director Taika Waititi of seemingly indirect comments for making a subpar film. Apparently that’s all disgruntled fans need to put their imaginations – which now seem to be aided with similar sentiments by Hemsworth – to good use in imagining the kind of Thor we want to see next.

While there are many who are stoic about the controversial charms love and thunder, The prevailing consensus is that the film falls short of the high expectations Thor: Ragnarok. If fans are to be believed, when Hemsworth said if he returned as Thor in his fifth solo outing as an Asgardian warrior, it would have to be a “drastically different version in tone, anything, just for my own sanity,” he said indicated dissatisfaction with the direction the last film has taken.

So one fan decided to portray what Hemsworth likely has in mind for his character gate 5

The stunning fan art was obviously trying to restore Thor to his former glory, something the god of thunder enjoyed during the events of movies like Thor: Dark World and Avengers: Infinity War. Despite being very impressed with the art, fans pointed it out love and thunder took the humor train introduced by Ragnarok Going a little too far and turning the brave Asgardian’s adventures with someone as out of joint as Gorr the Butcher into a spoof, it would be a miracle if the studio succeeds in elevating the superhero to the heights who dares to capture the above fan art.

While gate 5 more or less inevitable, it remains to be seen whether Marvel Studios will continue down that path love and thunder have decided to portray Thor’s story, or whether the divided reviews against the film prevent them from following the same path again.
