‘Chrisley Knows Best’ canceled in US: Todd and Julie jail time

Chrisley knows best Stars Todd and Julie Chrisley were both sentenced to several years in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion.
Todd was sentenced by a judge Monday to 12 years in prison and 16 months probation, while his wife Julie was sentenced to 7 years in prison plus 16 months probation, according to Atlanta TV news station WSB. Both were convicted in June of conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans. They were also convicted of conspiracy to defraud the IRS and tax evasion; Julie was also convicted on separate charges of wire fraud and obstruction of justice.
According to prosecutors, Todd and Julie Chrisley submitted forged documents when applying for loans and hid income to avoid paying taxes. Her accountant, Peter Tarantino, was also sentenced to three years in prison.
Todd and Julie are the stars of the American reality series Chrisley knows bestwho followed the escapades of them and their children. debut in 2014, Chrisley knows best was renewed for a tenth season in May and has spawned a number of spinoffs. Our sister site Deadline is reporting that the show has been cancelled, but sources tell TVLine there hasn’t been any official word on it yet. The US plans to air a series of already filmed Season 10 episodes sometime next year.
