Christina Ricci, Mark Hampton’s rare photo album with 2 children
A blended family! Christina Ricci and her husband Mark Hampton They tend to keep their family life fairly private, but occasionally share rare glimpses of their roles as parents.
The Kasper Actress shares son Freddie with ex-husband James Heerdegen. The then-couple gave birth to son Freddie in 2014, nearly a year after they tied the knot. Ricci filed for divorce from Dolly Grip in July 2020; in January 2021, Us weekly confirmed that a judge ordered Heerdegen to stay 100 meters away from the actress after she accused him of domestic violence. Heerdegen was also deprived of visitation rights to their son.
Following the duo’s split, Ricci moved on with Hampton in July 2021. In August 2021, the two announced that they were expecting a child together. After tying the knot two months after announcing the exciting news, the couple welcomed daughter Cleopatra in December 2021.
“My heart exploded,” the barber said alongside a photo of the newborn. “@riccigrams and baby Cleo are doing fantastic. We are all resting after such an eventful morning. Welcome to the world baby Cleopatra Ricci Hampton.”
A month after Cleo’s birth, Ricci revealed that Hampton actually chose her daughter’s full name.
“We were going to call her Cleo and then right before they were getting me ready for the cesarean they started talking about how we had to fill out birth certificates, [and] My husband said, “We have to give her a full name, right?” And then the nickname is Cleo,” Ricci recalled during a January 2022 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I kind of thought, ‘Anyway, we can talk about that later.’ Then he was so excited he posted it on Instagram.”
In a November 2022 interview with The Sunday TimesThe Wednesday The actress opened up about how the birth of her firstborn changed her in so many ways.
“The birth of my son really broke my nihilism and it was quite a surprising change,” Ricci explained to the outlet. “I thought I really loved him and had a lot of feelings for him. I didn’t realize it was all or nothing.”
The Sleepy Hollow star too went to social media to rave about her husband as father and stepfather.
“Happy Valentine’s Day to the kindest, funniest, most generous, most imaginative and most brilliant man I’ve ever known,” Ricci gushed in February 2022. “You’re one of the best of your kind and quite frankly, a unicorn 🦄 (No wonder that our… (little girl is crazy about them) 🦄You take care of us and love us in a way I never thought possible. I LOVE YOU so much @markhamptonhair.”
