Could Thor make a surprise appearance in The Marvels?
The wonders is already stitching together several different threads from the previous multiverse saga and uniting Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel Ms. Marvelis Kamala Khan and WandaVisionis Teyonah Parris, not to mention the imminent return of Nick Fury’s followers Secret invasion. And yet there’s apparently still room for one more, as Marvel just spoiled this one Thor Crossover is set to take place in the upcoming sequel – and the MCU fan base couldn’t be more excited.
Considering summer 2022 Thor: Love and Thunder was not the extension of the Thor-verse we were hoping for, we’re all dying for Chris Hemsworth’s Odinson to show up again so we can wash off the remaining taste of it Thor 4. And yet the God of Thunder really is reunited with his old friend Carol Danvers, whom he met for the first time Avengers: EndgameIn The wonders? Let’s examine the evidence.

So could it be that Thor is stopping by to help the gang take down Dar-Benn and her Kree cronies? Well, maybe, but given the all-female team perspective of The wondersanother character stands out as a far more plausible guest star. It has to be Valkyrie, right? Tessa Thompson and Brie Larson have long called for their characters to spend more time on screen, with the Carol/Valkyrie romantic pairing one of the most popular potential “ships” for Captain Marvel (despite her having Prince Yan on her arm The wonders goes in a different direction in this regard).
Additionally, Thompson’s involvement in the film has already been heavily hinted at. Already in January 2022, a snapshot from the art department featured headshots from The wondersPlaster cast mounted on the wall, including Thompson. A cameo from one of Marvel’s Chrises would probably be impossible to keep secret, but since we already have an inkling that Thompson will appear, it’s very likely that Valkyrie will become the fourth honorary member of the Marvels.
Why Marvel decided to spoil this Thor Crossover is now surprising, it is possible that the drastic measure was taken to increase the box office projections, which unfortunately are lower than expected. We’ll have to see if Thor’s (or probably Valkyrie’s) power can do anything to move the needle for once The wonders will be in cinemas from November 10th.
