Countryfile star Adam Henson and his wife Charlie talk about their last minute wedding after devastating cancer diagnosis

COUNTRYFILE star Adam Henson and his wife Charlie have spoken about their sudden marriage after a painful cancer diagnosis.
The couple already had two children together but decided to tie the knot after a heartbreaking health battle.
Adam, 57, admitted it was a “huge shock” when doctors found out Charlie had pancreatic cancer.
The Countryfile presenter previously thought his partner had just caught a bug from an animal on his farm.
She felt ill for over three months before finally receiving the terrible news that she had a 4.5cm tumor.
Adam told The Telegraph Getting through the situation was a “nightmare”, adding: “It was a big shock. “I’m a pragmatist by nature, which probably comes from my work as a farmer.”
“I deal with facts and think about what can be done, but in this situation I was completely lost.”
Charlie said that after learning of her condition, marrying Adam became “the most important thing in the world” to her.
“It’s ridiculous, but I really wanted everyone to know how much I love Adam,” the emotional wife shared. “Most of all, I wanted him to know. It was suddenly such a big deal.”
Luckily, Charlie is currently recovering and the loving couple have both been able to return to television work.
Adam is known for appearing as a farmer on the BBC One show and Charlie is now a site manager.
